Does anyone else struggle with getting projects completed?? I try so hard to stay on task, trying to stay with the ‘finish one room at a time’, but one thing leads to another and then I’m off on a whole other project:) What started as a simple task of searching for some décor/display items for a shelf area turned into “I can make this with that” or “I can paint this and use it here”, or “I may want to make more of these and that’s a really good deal”….Now I have all this stuff that I couldn’t pass up a deal on….lol

Even this morning, as I’m trying to still work occasionally on painting the staircase spindles (almost done by the way), I found one piece of trim that needed to be secured, and I didn’t want to wake the kids with hammering or running the compressor, so, I just completely sidetracked to painting baseboard, chair rail and door trim in the hallway:) I mean, I already had the paint and brush out…. and, yes, it needs done, but it totally goes against my ‘one room at a time’ idea…..oh well:)

So, my shopping experience may not have resulted in the intended outcome, but I did find some really cool pieces that I think I can make work in different areas….now just to clean/paint/fix/stain/etc.!! As I get them completed, I’ll add them to the site – no promises on when since I just thought of another ‘need to’ project this afternoon – but, at least this ‘need to’ is something that went with the original shelf display agenda!! And, of course, none of this is getting me to my end goal of moving on to the next reno project…. So, for now, it’s off to paint – starting with the shelf/desk piece…
