Some days it seems like I just have no motivation to get anything done. Yesterday was one of those days….I guess just being tired or having a million plans in my head that I want to do, but knowing that there are little details I still need to finish on other projects before I can get to the ‘ideas’. (I really don’t want to be one of those people that gets 90% of a room or project done, then moves on and in 5 years says ‘yeah, I meant to finish that years ago’!) Well, today is a NEW DAY and I’ve gotten back to working on the staircase spindles (only about 5 more to go!) and I hope to get going on some trim work later so that I CAN get to the ‘idea’ projects! Now that both other houses I was working on are completed, I am renewing my focus on our house and the many, many remaining projects here!

I think part of what stops me sometimes is the decorating aspect of a project. I’m more of a DIYer and not so much a decorator, so I can’t make a decision on exactly what I want in a space. But, I’ve decided to just put that off and just get the detail work done (like paint and trim) and I’m hoping that the décor piece will work itself out eventually – maybe I’ll see something we already have, maybe I’ll find a good deal on something somewhere that will just click for a room or wall….either way, the devil is in the details, right? So, on to the detail work I go!
